WHERE IS VIRTUAL CONSOLE ON SWITCH? (a rant)

Between the onslaught of uninteresting news in the April 12th Nintendo Direct, and the discontinuation of the NES Classic Edition, I had to say something. Seriously, Nintendo, what are you doing with Virtual Console on Switch?
