E3 is still over a month away, and we already know two of the biggest games Nintendo plans to pimp at the show.
Pikmin 3 has been a long, desperate wait. We’ve known about the game’s development since E3 2008, but nothing has been shown, and little more said since. The good news is, we’re about to get a full blast of details at this year’s E3.
Nintendo confirmed that the Wii U game will be shown at the conference, and Pikmin godfather Miyamoto believes “anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing.”
Nintendo has also confirmed that a Wii U Mario game will be at the show, one based on the New Super Mario Bros. Mii demo from E3 2011. Of course, that’s tremendously confusing considering the recent revelation that New Super Mario Bros. 2 is headed to 3DS in August, just a few months prior to Wii U’s expected launch.
All of this, coupled with the recent Super Mario Bros. 4 domain registration, leaves Nintendo’s Mario plans a perplexing mystery. Just a guess: expect a lot of the plumber.
