As of March 1st, the historic Hudson Soft will cease to exist. Following a total buyout by Konami in January of 2011, Hudson has seen a steady decline in existence, but it will be officially gone in just a couple months.
Hudson started out as a small time tech shop in 1973, but slowly transitioned into video game hardware and software development.
The company will be remembered for series like Bomberman, Bonk, Adventure Island, and Mario Party, as well as its 16-bit also-ran system, the TurboGrafx-16.
Fans are taking the loss hard, blaming Konami for buying the company without any apparent interest in maintaining it in any capacity.
