At their E3 press conference this year, Nintendo hinted at a pair of titles headed to 3DS and Wii U that caught plenty of attention without being shown at all.

Following the completion of Kid Icarus: Uprising for 3DS, Masahiro Sakurai will go on to develop a new Super Smash Bros. titles for both of Nintendo’s new systems.

No details were revealed (it’s likely the folks at Nintendo don’t know any either), although Iwata suggested the two games will probably interact in some fashion.
