As if the bonus Nintendo Direct on Sunday and Tuesday’s conference won’t be enough, Nintendo has announced that it will hold a special 3DS E3 Software Showcase on Wednesday.

NoA VP of Sales and Marketing Scott Moffitt will finally get his chance to shine at the event from 6-7PM PDT.

Although 3DS will surely have some representation during Nintendo’s usual press conference, this is a good sign that the company plans to devote the vast majority of its conference time to Wii U. Maybe, just maybe, this opens up an opportunity for that rumoured 3DS XL to make an appearance as well.

Between Nintendo’s three events this week, the volume of news and information, not to mention opportunities for hype and meltdowns, is at an all time high.
