Resident Evil Retribution, the fifth entry in the Paul W.S. Anderson/Milla Jovovich super-series still won’t be amusing audiences for a while – it opens September 14, 2012.
Luckily, the film’s new trailer is out, and it’s awesome (well, you know, in that special way only things related to this series can be awesome).
The trailer helps explain the previously confusingly large number of returning cast – including those with dead characters. It seems Umbrella has been messing with Alice’s mind, and running zombie test scenarios in her head to perfect its virus, using old acquaintances to fill roles.
In other video game movie news, Disney’s (not Pixar’s) new CG animated movie Wreck-It Ralph has a trailer. Ralph plays a Donkey Kong-esque video game villain who decides to leave his game and go good. Cameos include Dr. Robotnik, a Pac-Man ghost, Zangief, M. Bison, Kano, and Bowser himself.
Finally, I present the trailer for The FP. This movie already came out a couple months ago, but this is the first I’ve heard of it. In the future, rival gangs will battle for street cred and control of Frazier Park by squaring off (or as the film puts it “beating off”) in games of “Beat Beat Revelation.” I must find this movie now.

Got something to say? Go for it!
