I’ve poured ludicrous amounts of time into specific games in my life: several days have gone toward Perfect Dark alone, but nothing that could compete with Steve Tolin’s 773 hour Dragon Quest IX “quest.”

This guy has been playing the game since its release about a year ago, and just achieved 100% completion. This task involved defeating every monster and collecting every item.

Of course, DQIX doesn’t take 773 hours to beat (Tolin reports it took him 62), but it apparently takes about 700 to see everything and beat all the DLC. That’s 32 days in all.
